Condition
If Calgary’s 2024 first-round pick is between #20 and #32, Montreal has the option to receive Calgary’s 2024 first-round pick. If this option is not exercised, conditional scenarios apply for 2025 and beyond. First, if Florida’s 2025 first-round pick is transferred to Calgary, then: (A1) if both Calgary’s and Florida’s 2025 first-round picks are not in the top 10, Montreal receives the better of the two; or (A2) if Calgary’s 2025 pick is in the top 10 and Florida’s is not, Montreal receives Florida’s 2025 first-round pick. If Florida’s 2025 first-round pick does not transfer to Calgary, then: (B1) if Calgary’s 2025 first-round pick is #1 overall, Montreal receives Calgary’s 2025 third-round pick and the better of Calgary’s or Florida’s 2026 first-round picks; (B2) if Calgary’s 2025 first-round pick is between #2 and #10, Montreal receives Calgary’s 2025 first-round pick; or (B3) if Calgary’s 2025 first-round pick is not in the top 10, and if (a) Florida’s 2025 first-round pick is also not in the top 10, (b) Florida’s pick has been transferred to another team, and (c) Florida’s pick is more favorable than Calgary’s, then Montreal receives both Calgary’s 2025 first-round and 2025 fourth-round picks.
